Klaus Knoll (* 17. August 1966) ist ein österreichischer Schriftsteller und Fotograf.

Leben

Klaus Knoll besuchte das Jesuiteninternat Aloisianum in Linz, Oberösterreich. Er studierte Literaturwissenschaft, Publizistik und Fotografie in Salzburg, Wien und Montpelier/VT. 1986 erhielt er den Literaturförderpreis des Landes Oberösterreich für das Projekt eines Internatsromans. Ende der Neunziger war er als Lektor am germanistischen Institut der Kagawa Daigakku in Takamatsu, Japan tätig, ab der Jahrtausendwende als Lehrgansleiter Multimedia Arts an der Fachhochschule Salzburg. Gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Cella gründete er 2004 das Transart Institute. 2008 war er Artist in Residence an der Lingnan University, Hong Kong, 2009-2011 übernahm er eine Professur für Fotografie an der University of Hawai’i Mānoa. Er lebt und arbeitet in Honolulu/HI und Berlin.
